The list below highlights the many different ways to interact with the various groups at UOIT.

Partnerships may include:

Advanced research and innovation projects

Collaborative research: Access to academic expertise through collaborative research and development programs utilizing our state-of-the-art facilities and personnel. These directed programs will address your more immediate research needs, and will support longer-term, exploratory research projects to create competitive market value for your company. Regardless of the type of project, we endeavour to maximize your investment in research through leveraging grants from provincial and federal programs. We partner with you to facilitate meaningful interactions and find the right individuals and research programs to support your business or organizational goals.

Research chairs: Provide strategic alliances between our Canada Research Chairs and industry. These partnerships focus on both fundamental and applied research that directly impacts end users and turns innovative ideas into real solutions.

Technology transfer and commercialization: Opportunities to acquire proprietary technology from UOIT’s intellectual property portfolio through licensing or through supporting startup companies. Contract negotiations are handled by licensing professionals employed by UOIT.
